Day02

Thimphu

Discover the charming capital. You will visit the major sights in Thimphu ① such as the venerated Memorial Chorten ② and the stunning Tashichho Dzong. Stroll around the local market where farmers from across the country sell their products.

Day03

Thimphu-Punakha

Travel to Punakha where you will explore its impressive Dzong, for many the most beautiful in the country. On the way you stop in the Dochula pass to visit the Druk Wangyal Chortens ③ and, in clear days, for stunning views of the Himalayas.

Day04

Punakha-Paro

Before heading back to Paro, we stop at Chimi Lhakhang. Located in the center of the valley and over a hill, and surrounded by beautiful rice fields, Chimi Lhakhang is one of the country’s most sacred temples ④. Once in Paro there will be some time to do the final shopping, visit the dzong or simply rest to be ready for the climb to Tiger’s Nest the day after.
